AUTOMATIC STREET LIGHT USING non conventional energy

AUTOMATIC STREET LIGHT USING non conventional energy
AIM
The objective of the project is to make use of non conventional energy source. The energy from the solar panel due to sun rays is used to charge 12v lead acid battery used in street lamps.

This street lamp works based on time. The street lamp is replaced by energy saving CFL tube. The relay closes the circuit, and the CFl tube glows from evening 6.00 to morning 6.00.

This is done using an automatic circuit. The battery gets charged during day time and the lamp glows only during the night time.

Instead of making use of the conventional source of energy; we make use of non conventional energy source (Solar energy), thus saving the resources; for the next generation.

Automatic street light using solar power plant is thus very efficient and easy to be used.

OBJECTIVE
The objective of the project is to conserve conventional energy sources and consume non conventional energy sources.
SCOPE
It is used to avoid wastage of power during day time.
NECCESSITY
It is very useful in all places, where automatic operation is required.
METHODOLOGY
Ø Solar panel board (12V), 500 mA
Ø Lead Acid battery (20AH)
Ø Timer circuit and ON/OFF circuit
Ø  CFL energy saving lamp.
