Abstract:

With the advent in technology, the existing systems are developed to have in built intelligence. This is of greater importance in places where human identity is required. The manual authentication and human intervention of the present systems has been replaced by digital means. Of all the digital systems, Embedded Technology predominates as it overcomes the drawbacks of all the existing mechanical and electronic systems.

            This project “Finger prints using Home security system” deal with giving intelligence to the existing traditional system. In this system the human identity is carried out using a thumb impression. The Fingerprint Scanner is interfaced to the USB port of the PC, which keeps track of the identification. The PC scans the fingerprint of the human and compares with the database and sends an authentication signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller controls the door depending upon the PC output.  If any person tries to break the door, signal is sensed and is transmitted through RF transmitter at the frequency of 433.92MHz. An alarm is raised on that condition with an LCD display.
            The received signal is processed using the microcontroller and an LCD display is given with the buzzer. This receiver section can be placed anywhere, might be at the control room etc.
