ABSTRACT:
Embedded system is a specialized computer system that is part of a larger system or machine. Typically, an embedded system is housed on a single microcontroller board with the programs stored in ROM. Virtually all appliances that have a digital interface -- watches, microwaves, VCRs, cars -- utilize embedded systems. An embedded system is a general purpose computer system that is the combination of software and hardware designed to do a dedicated function with minimum manual interruption. It is mostly used for automation applications, since it reduces the size and cost of product as well processing time. Embedded system is now booming technology in various fields like industrial automation, home appliances, automobiles and aeronautics etc.
To check the number of units consumed we make use of Talking Energy Meter. The number of units consumed can be expressed outside to the consumers by voice as well as displays through LCD. We are using Keypad to check the number of units in the Energy Meter. If we press the keypad the relay activates & checks the value. It was displayed in LCD and through Voice IC we can store the voice to express in sound.
APPLICATIONS:
Ø Apartments
Ø Industries
Ø Domestic purpose
COMPONENTS USED:
