TELEPHONE OPERATED PICK AND PLACE ROBOT

Description:

The objective of this project is to control the robot for any application through telephone line. This project is designed with micro controller ring detector.  DTMP Generator, relay driver circuit and DC Motors.

Function:
                Hear the micro controller may be atmal 89C51 or PIC micro controller.  This project arrangement is connect to telephone line.  Telephone line is connected to micro controller through the ring detector.
                Ring detector circuit is consists of 555IC timer when you make the call to this telephone 555IC will be triggered and generate the square pulse given to the micro controller.  In micro controller we have already set pulse value for an example if we set 5 pulse it will count that pulse after the 5th pulse micro controller automatically activate the relay through the relay driver circuit in which hook switch is connected, now the hook switch connect the incoming signal to telephone that is telephone is automatically picked.
                Now you press any button on transmitting side telephone the DRMF decoder generate the frequency for that corresponding button.  DTMF is nothing but dual tone multi frequency for each button then this signal given to micro controller. In micro controller we have already programmed depends upon the input signal it activate relay through relay driver circuit.
                Relay driver circuit consists of transistors in which transistors act as switch DC motor is connected to relay.  When you make a cell to this telephone after the set value the telephone is automatically picked then if you press the corresponding button on the telephone. Related frequency is generated in the DTMF decoder in given to micro controller so depends upon the program it activate DC motor through relay we can operate the robot to forward, reverse, left side, right side, pick & place and arm moving through the telephone.
