IR REMOTE CONTROLLED ROBOT


Objective:
            The objective of this project is to control the vehicle for remote applications through IR section.
Scope:
            This project is very useful for industrial applications, vehicle operation is controlled remotely.

Brief Methodology:
            This project is designed with micro controller, TV remote, IR transmitter & receiver, keypad, driver circuit along with motor and robot model. The TV remote is the set of battens each battens represents one operation such that forward, reverse, left, Right and so on.  The Transmitter section consists of battens and IR transmitter.  When any one batten is pressed in the TV remote the corresponding signals is transmitted through IR transmitter.
            In receiver section consists of IR receiver micro controller and drive circuits.  The IR receiver received that signal given to micro controller.  The micro controller may be Atmel or Pic both are flash type reprogrammable micro controller. In micro controller we have already programmed. 

           So when you press the key for an example forward batten the corresponding signal is transmitted and received by IR section and given to micro controlled. So it activates the related driver circuit driver.  Driver circuit consists of transistor just act as switch to control the motor.  Now driver circuit operates the motor so the robot moves in the forward direction.  Similarly other robot actions are controlled.

The main merits of this is

                                                                               ii.            Less expensive.
                                                                              iii.            Reduced man power.
                                                                             iv.            Low power consumption.
 Application:

This project used to handicap to control the vehicle.
