Networking between hospitals is a very much in need for all the hospitals. Suppose a patient is admitted in a hospital in a very serious condition in a mini town. Usually in a mini town there won’t be much facility to save a life of a human. Usually they tell to take the patient to a hospital in a city. To avoid this and to save the life of a patient we would like to introduce networking between hospitals. This networking can be implement with the help of a Microcontroller, Microprocessor, MICROCONTROLLER and PC.
In our project we are going to implement MICROCONTROLLER & PC. One side we are going to monitor Heart Beat in MICROCONTROLLER side and respiration in PC side.
The Heart Beat sensor is a high sensitive microphone with diaphragm. When heart beats, the diaphragm will move in & out, that will create a train of pulse according to the heart beat. The output will be in a mill volts format. The output will be amplified and that will be converted to TTL logic level pulses. The pulses will be given to the MICROCONTROLLER through a latch.
A MICROCONTROLLER program will receive the pulse and that will calculate pulse rate per minute. That will be displayed in an LCD display. Then the heart rate will be transmitted through the serial port with RS232 connectivity and then the signal will be transmitted. Then at the receiver end a PC is connected and the heart rate per minute will be displayed in the monitor.
At the PC side the input from thermister will be given to a reference circuit of respiration, the pulse will be in millivolts format. The output will be amplified and that will be converted to TTL logic level pulses. The pulse will be given to PC through a latch.
A MICROCONTROLLER program will receive the pulse and that will calculate respiration rate per minute. That will be displayed in the monitor. Then the respiration rate will be transmitted through the serial port with RS232 connectivity and then RS232 level will be converted into RS485 and then the signal will be transmitted. Then at the receiver end the MICROCONTROLLER is connected and the respiration rate will be displayed in the LCD display.
The doctor can see both the parameters and he can suggest the medicine for the patient.
