PATIENT  MEDICINE REMINDER SYSTEM  USING 8051 CONTROLLER

OBJECTIVE

           Automatic reminder for medicine is a useful to all hospitals. Now a day’s the most of the patents are forgot to take the medicine at the proper time. The time and medicine names are changeable according to our need through keypad connected. Is has a real time clock IC to display the timings in the LCD display.


BRIEF METHODOLGY

           This project is designed by following blocks,

Ø  Microcontroller
Ø  LCD display
Ø  Keypad
Ø  RTC[Real Time Clock]
Ø  EEPROM
Ø  Driver circuit with Alarm

In this project all the components are interfaced with the controller. Here the microcontroller may be ATMEL/PIC/RENESAS/ARM microcontroller. It will work according to our object already we have programmed. The keypad is used to set the time, patents name and medicines name. Whenever we are setting the time, patents name and medicines name all details are stored in EEPROM memory.
            The LCD display always displays the real time by using the RTC. The microcontroller always checks the stored time with real time. Suppose the two times are same the microcontroller displays the corresponding patent name and medicine name in LCD display for some seconds and it will activates the driver circuit. So the alarm will produce the beep sound. After that the LCD displays the real time. The patents name, medicines name and time we can change any time by using keypad.

Ø  Used to ON/OFF the machineries in industries

    This is wonderful. I am also working on a project called "an automatic alarm", but for it at the moment will be a computer application only and may be in future I will make it an android application and even try to develop some hardware from which it can run. It will be allowing the registration of patients,times and alarms can be set regarding the time a certain patient was admitted and when he/she is supposed to be attended to by the health worker and or be given drugs. It will be used by only the health workers because some of them can forget the exact time they supposed to attend to certain patients. It is supposed to be installed in the system of the hospital.
